STEP 1: Reconnect with your body + begin dissolving pain

…by calming your nervous system and reducing stress!

Why is this step so important?

Pain occurs when sensory information is interpreted by the nervous system as being threatening.

Pain does not always mean there is any tissue damage (especially if you’re more than 3 or so months after the initial onset.

The nervous system is more likely to flag threats in times of heavy stress, when there’s more inflammation in the body.

So, besides taking care of the obvious basics (sleep, hydration, nutrition, light movement and fun healthy social activities that make you smile), the best thing you can do is sprinkle in pauses more often throughout the day to allow your nervous system to visit healing / fun mode.
